Vancouver Pop Artist Rayne Releases Music Video For New Single “Is It Cool If We’re Lonely”
Today, Vancouver Pop Artist Rayne, released the music video for her new single Is It Cool If We’re Lonely. The video concept is based on a search to find another person in her empty town, the new video shows Rayne’s journey of eventually finding her special someone and not feeling so lonely any more.
The music video was shot in Rayne’s hometown, Downtown Cloverdale in Surrey, BC, and directed by Hip Hop artist Ashes 5thborn.
“I had the idea for the music video right before our first video shoot plan with Ashes. Feeling completely alone in the world is something I think a lot of people resonate with, and it made for a unique (but kind of difficult to film) video concept,” said Rayne.
“Ashes did such an incredible job filming and putting this video together! We filmed across three days in the scorching hot weather and somehow he managed to get some really cool footage without any of us dying of heat stroke. I’m super excited for people to see this video we made together!”
Rayne first started co-writing in late 2018 and quickly took to it. She wrote and demo-ed with a variety of songwriters, and her demos were sent off to an executive at Live Nation Toronto, where she secured a spot playing a pre-show at the River Rock Stage for GRAMMY Award winner Billie Eilish in 2019, and later Tyler Shaw in Vancouver.
These first songs were also sent to Timbaland Productions / Mosley Music Group in LA, and she was asked to write topline on tracks by MilliBeatz, a Zurich based producer who has created tracks for Bryson Tiller, Kehlani, Migos, and Rihanna. From there emerged her second single ‘The Low’, which has been streamed over 350,000 times on Spotify since its release early last year, adding to her impressive 1.3 million total career streams to date.
